We are engineers and educators, dedicated to delivering and supporting STEM initiatives in the communities we serve.
SeaPerch Underwater Robotics Program
Students will build underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) from a kit comprised of low-cost and easily accessible parts. Building a SeaPerch ROV teaches basic skills in ship and submarine design and encourages children to explore naval architecture and marine and ocean engineering principles. Throughout the program, students will learn basic science and engineering concepts, tool safety, problem solving, teamwork, and the use of technical procedures.
2025 Season
This year’s SeaPerch challenge is inspired by coral restoration. Coral reefs provide coastal protection for communities, habitat for fish, and millions of dollars in recreation and tourism, among other benefits. But corals are also severely threatened by rapidly worsening environmental conditions. There are efforts to help corals recover.
